Trane Ward Seven Alderman Present Omar Boukili Administrative Assistant Present The Committee met in Joint Session with the Committee on Traffic and Parking. 190751 - That the Director of Recreation explain to this Board the parking policy around the Somerville Avenue Skating Rink, specifically why parking is prohibited at the rear of the rink.: Aldermen Connolly, Roche and Sullivan had a meeting at the rink with Recreation Facilities Manager George Teves and Superintendent of Recreation James Halloran to discuss the parking situation at the facility. Both the Youth Services Committee and the Traffic and Parking Committee will forego action on this matter at this time in anticipation of the mayor's assistance in providing additional parking spaces in the spring. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED 190756 - That the Director of Recreation re-schedule the public skating hours to what they’ve been in previous years.: Public skating hours will be increased whenever there is ice time that is not being utilized. Notice will be posted on the website. Chairman Connolly suggested using a message board to inform the public of rink activities. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED
