Director OSCPD Present Ellen Schneider OSPCD Present Stephen Houdlette OSPCD Present 190529 - That the Director SPCD follow-up on a commitment and meet with Union Square businesses regarding the proposed traffic patterns and report back to the Committee on Housing and Community Development and the Ward 2 and 3 Aldermen.: RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 190783 - Requesting that this Board accept this report on the update to the Comprehensive Plan and provide comments on it to SPCD staff.: Ms. Lamboy reviewed and commented on various segments of the plan, including SomerVision, trends, transit, culture and diversity, density and outreach efforts utilized to obtain accurate data. Ms. Lamboy also noted that the city needs more jobs and predicted that rents will increase when additional transit becomes available in the city. There were discussions about the proposed zoning map, the conserving/transforming of neighborhoods and the Board of Aldermen’s role in the planning process. Chairman O’Donovan stressed that the BOA needs to work together to ensure that the plan put forward is satisfactory to all involved. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE
