Committee Meeting March 21, 2011 Finance Committee Page 2 of 2 Printed 3/23/2011 190974 - Requesting to accept a $205,854 CLAMP Grant from MassDOT for the Health Dept.’s Transportation Demand Management project to expand Walk/Ride Day.: RESULT: APPROVED 190975 - Requesting acceptance of a $14,473.50 grant from the MAPC’s Regional Bike Parking Program for new bicycle accommodations citywide.: A request was made that the Bicycle Committee work with Ward Aldermen to determine the placement of the racks and Chairman Heuston directed Mr. Lambert to inform the Board of Aldermen where these rack will be placed. The committee requested that Mr. Lambert contact the MBTA to request that they consider installing additional bike racks at the Davis Square and Porter Square stations. RESULT: APPROVED 190976 - Requesting to accept a $2,869 grant from Factory Mutual Insurance Company for the Fire Dept.’s Fire Investigation Unit.: Chief Kelleher told the committee that the funds were requested to purchase computer equipment. RESULT: APPROVED
