The position was posted and there were no qualified candidates. Alderman Taylor's motion that this position be included in the recreation Department's budget with a reference to the Personnel Department, was approved. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 190831 - Requesting a transfer of $1,712 from the Salary Contingency Acct. to the Personnel Salaries Acct. to establish the position of Human Resources Coordinator/Civil Service Manager.:

RESULT: APPROVED 190973 - Requesting to accept a $1,876,179 Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grant from the federal Dept. of Housing & Urban Development, for SPCD’s Lead Hazard Abatement Program.: Mr. Howe explained the eligibility guidelines for participation in the program and said that payments up to $40,000 per house are allowed. RESULT: APPROVED 191023 - Requesting authorization of the Board of Assessors’ use of outside counsel, Attorney John Lynch, to defend values at the Appellate Tax Board.: Mr. Levye explained that most cases are handled in-house, however, there are times when outside counsel is needed. RESULT: APPROVED
