RESULT: APPROVED 191670 - That the City Clerk notify the following businesses to appear before this Board’s Committee on Licenses and Permits for a Public Hearing regarding the terms and conditions of their licenses: USave Rental - 70 Prospect Street, Webster Auto Sales - 61 Prospect Street, and McDonald's - Twin City Plaza.: There were 3 Public Hearings, as follows: McDonalds, 14 McGrath Highway. The manager, Robert King, was informed that there have been complaints regarding the business and it was suggested that a police detail be used to control the disturbances. Mr. King told the members that there will be a security presence on Fridays and Saturdays and that patrons would not be allowed to remain in the parking lot after obtaining their food. Mr. Walsh stated that he has been at this location since 1988 and that no vehicle repairs are performed at this location. Mr. Nuzzo visited the site and determined that everything was in order. Mr. Walsh was advised that the business is not to be open on Sundays and also that the expired garage license needs to be renewed. Webster Auto Sales, 48 Webster Avenue/61 Prospect Street Mr. Nuzzo told the members that vehicles are being stored on the premises illegally and that the business poses a hazard. The proprieter stated that he was unaware of the regulations. Alderman Heuston raised questions about a flammables license at 97 Prospect Street and Chairman Sullivan requested that Mr. Nuzzo determine the number of vehicles that may be stored at 97 Prospect Street. Mr. Nuzzo will also determine how many vehicles are on the premises at 61 Prospect Street and whether the storage conditions of the license are being complied with.
