There were no speakers in opposition. Target will have 2 Somerville Police officers present for detail duty and will only admit twenty people at a time to the store to assist in crowd control.

Mr. Long suggested that the best way to regulate these vendors would be by city ordinance. Alderman Heuston's motion that the City Solicitor draft an ordinance regulating mobile food vendors, was approved. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED 192029 - George O’Shea submitting comments re: George Dilboy Post 529, 371 Summer St., operating a commercial parking lot without a permit.: This item will remain in committee until the City Solicitor has completed his investigation of the matter. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 192087 - Sign/Awning Permit, Sally O’Brien’s, 335 Somerville Ave., one awning.: RESULT: APPROVED 192088 - Sign/Awning Permit, Laundromax, 630 Somerville Ave., one sign.: The committee requested that the petitioner appear before the committee at its next meeting. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 192089 - New Used Car Dealer License Class II, Mass Auto Brokers Inc., 631 Somerville Ave., 10 autos in, 5 out.: Aldermen Trane and Heuston requested additional information regarding the number of vehicles to be stored, both inside and outside, before voting on the item. The committee requested that other licenses for this business be provided to the committee for comparison. Mr. Long informed the committee that the city has not received an application for a Fortune Teller's license from the applicant, but has received a "general" application, not specific to fortune telling. The item was approved conditioned upon the Ward 5 Alderman's approval. RESULT: APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS 192222 - New Extended Operating Hours License, Target Corp., 180 Somerville Ave., Opening “Black Friday,” Nov 25, from 12 AM to 11 PM.: The hours of operation were amended to be from 1:00 AM to 11:00 PM, provided that Target secures 2 police details. If the details are not secured, the approval will be rescinded. RESULT: APPROVED AS AMENDED
