The store manager, Nicole Hoffman, spoke in favor of the item extending the store's hours on
November 25th from midnight to 10:00 PM. There were no speakers in opposition. Target will
have 2 Somerville Police officers present for detail duty and will only admit twenty people at a
time to the store to assist in crowd control.

191742 - That the City Clerk investigate whether mobile food vendors are prohibited from
operating at specific locations, and if so, to provide a list of locations to the Committee on
Licenses and Permits.:
Mr. Long provided information on mobile food vendors and explained that the Board of
Aldermen may reasonably impose conditions on their operations. Mr. Long suggested that the
best way to regulate these vendors would be by city ordinance.
Alderman Heuston's motion that the City Solicitor draft an ordinance regulating mobile food
vendors, was approved.

Attorney Alfred Farese represented the petitioner. Mr. Long informed the committee that the
city has not received an application for a Fortune Teller's license from the applicant, but has
received a "general" application, not specific to fortune telling. The item was approved
conditioned upon the Ward 5 Alderman's approval.

Opening “Black Friday,” Nov 25, from 12 AM to 11 PM.:
The hours of operation were amended to be from 1:00 AM to 11:00 PM, provided that Target
secures 2 police details. If the details are not secured, the approval will be rescinded.
