parking from 48 to 72 hours.:
The Director of Traffic and Parking has submitted this item to the Traffic Commission for
review and consideration.
Alderman Trane's motion that the Director of Traffic and Parking perform a cost benefit
analysis on the proposal to increase visitor passes from 48 to 72 hours and report the findings
to the Committee on Traffic and Parking, was approved.

192273 - Green Cab requesting consideration from this Board for a taxi fare increase.:
Attorney Richard DiGirolamo, representing Green Cab, told the members that his client is
requesting a fare increase of 13%. That amount taken over five years is 2.6%, which is less that
the annual rise in the cost of living. Green Cab would continue to offer a 20% discount to senior
citizens. Chairman Roche will schedule a public hearing of the proposed fare increase on
February 21st at 6:00 PM. The record on this item will remain open until February 21, 2012 at
6:00 PM, at which time the committee will meet to move on the item.

Alderman Trane’s motion that the Chief of Police conduct sting operations on non-licensed
cabs operating in the city and report the results to the Committee on Traffic and Parking, was
approved.
