Sullivan Alderman At Large Present Chairman Heuston read a letter she received prior to the meeting informing her that the Mayor and the President of the Fire Fighters Union have been having discussions regarding the labor agreement. Both parties have indicated that the talks have been productive and Chairman Heuston reported that the parties would continue the discussion tomorrow. The Mayor had planned on making a presentation to the committee at this meeting, however, he has decided to postpone that until the discussions with the union have been completed. In light of this development, Chairman Heuston has decided to defer the Finance Committee’s deliberations until there is an outcome from the discussions between the Mayor and the Fire Fighters Union. The scheduled Finance Committee meetings will stand as scheduled, pending further developments. Should any of the remaining committee meetings be cancelled, the Constituent Services Department (311) will be informed and the public will be notified via a notice on the cable “wheel”. 192472 - Requesting departmental transfers totalling $1,157,534 as described within to the Fire Dept.
