Public Hearing - Mac’s Auto Body Corp. for a Garage License
Attorney Kara Dardano, representing the owner, David Medeiros, the petitioner and neighbor
Marc Maxwell spoke in favor of the application. The committee heard from a neighbor of the
business who said that she would like improvements to the ventilation system to be made to
address the smells emanating from the body shop. Mr. Nuzzo stated that the shop's equipment is
"state of the art" and in compliance with applicable codes and he assured the members that the
City would be diligent in ensuring that the smells are contained. There were no speakers in
opposition to the item.
Alderman Heuston's motion that the business owner be directed to take action to mitigate any
odors emanating from the business to ensure that neighbors are not effected, was approved.

Chairman Sullivan requested that ISD examine the facility and that the Ward 6 Alderman have
an opportunity to weight in on the item.

approved on the condition that the referenced meeting is held.
