Sullivan Alderman At Large Present Frank Wright City Solicitor Present Omar Boukili Mayor's Aide Present 193882 - Requesting the amendment of Ordinance 2-323 pursuant to the Municipal Compensation Advisory Board recommendations, with respect to Elected City Officials only.: The committee discussed the proposed salary increases for the positions of Mayor and Alderman, as recommended by the Municipal Compensation Advisory Board (MCAB). In light of the SMEA not having a contract in place, the committee members feel that it isn’t proper for aldermen to accept a raise until a contract has been agreed to between the City and the SMEA. With regard to the mayor’s salary, the committee voted unanimously to approve the amount recommend by the MCAB. Alderman Connolly’s motion to keep the Board of Aldermen’s proposed salary increase in the Legislative Matters Committee, for appropriate action, until such time as the Administration advises the Board of Aldermen of ongoing contract matters involving the SMEA, was approved. RESULT: APPROVED AS AMENDED
