White Jr. Vice Chair Absent John M Connolly Alderman At Large Present Cindy Hickey Council on Aging Present • Update of programs and issues Ms. Hickey discussed the activities available to senior citizens, some of which include dances, bingo, museum trips, presentations on memory/aging and stress management, shopping trips to New York City and various MA locations, exercise and yoga classes, classes on conversational English, book, gardening, knitting, veterans and cultural clubs/activities, trips to Atlantic City and Foxwoods and outreach programs for the LGBT community. The committee also discussed the possibility of implementing a grocery shopping shuttle service for residents of Capen Court and Weston Manor.
