Heuston Ward Two Alderman Present John Long City Clerk Present 193642 - That the Clerk of Committees notify the owner of Alewife Automotive, located at 395 Alewife Brook Parkway, to appear at the next meeting of this Board’s Committee on Licenses and Permits, to discuss possible overcrowding of their parking lot in violation of their Used Car Dealer’s license.: George Mikhael, owner of Alewife Automotive, told the members that of the 63 cars on his lot, 18 of them were for sale while the remaining 45 were there for service. Alderman Trane stated that there have been several complaints from neighbors about this business and pointed out that some of the cars on the lot have been there for months. Alderman Trane requested that the lot with cars be reduced in size and that it be properly cleaned, or he will recommend that the license be revoked. Mr. Nuzzo (who was not in attendance) had informed the committee that new signage had been installed without the proper permitting and that there are numerous violations on the property. The committee warned Mr. Mikhael about keeping more cars on the lot than his license allows and told him that the City Clerk would inform him how many vehicles will be allowed on the property. Alderman Heuston’s motion that the Superintendent of Inspectional Services inspect the business known as Alewife Automotive, located at 395 Alewife Brook Parkway, and determine whether or not vehicles are being stored on the property at Dilboy Stadium, and report his findings to the Committee on Licenses and Permits, was approved. Committee Meeting November 14, 2012 Licenses and Permits Committee Page 2 of 3 Printed 11/18/2012 Permits, to discuss possible overcrowding of their parking lot in violation of their Used Car Dealer’s license.: Mr. Mata and Mr. Liens appeared before the committee to discuss concerns about possible overcrowding and Chairman Sullivan stated that he spoke with Mr. Nuzzo, who stated that the proprietors make good faith effort to comply with the terms of their license. The committee recommended that the number of vehicles allowed on the property should be 2 inside and 8 outside.
