If the work is successful in reducing the decible level, then the soundproof wall won't need to be installed. The fans will be tested during the 2nd week of January. • Street light repair contract The members reviewed the process of how lighting problems are reported and repaired and were informed that some of the outages are the result of underground problems. Siemens is able to make the underground repairs, however a price would have to be agreed upon with the city. The committee asked for a definitive timeline for making the underground repairs and continued to express concern about delays in the reporting process. 193750 - That the Commissioner of Public Works add the double poles at College Hill Avenue, Raymond and North Streets, Conwell Ave (between Curtis and Hillsdale), Chetwynd Road, Curtis Street and 9 Granite Street to his utility company “double pole”

Committee Meeting December 13, 2012 Public Utilities and Public Works Committee Page 2 of 2 Printed 12/17/2012 list, and that the Superintendent of Lines and Lights appear at the September 19, 2012 meeting of the Public Utilities and Works Committee.: Mr. Usovicz from Verizon and Mr. Zamparelli from NSTAR were unable to attend this meeting, however, NSTAR did provide an update for the committee's review. At the present time, there are 38 double poles in the city, with 17 belonging to Verizon. The committee requested that Mr. MacEachern contact Verizon to expedite the removal of these 17 poles. Chairman O'Donovan recused himself from a discussion about an agreement regarding 9 Granite Street. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE
