DRAFT 6-24-13 - 1 - CITY OF SOMERVILLE ORDINANCE NO. _________ IN THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN: ______ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP TO PLACE 9 MEDFORD STREET (MBL 114-A-1) INTO THE TOD100 ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Millbrook Cold Storage Building is no longer being used for cold storage; and, WHEREAS, the current zoning for this area limits options for reuse of the building consistent with the SomerVision plan; and, WHEREAS, the City desires to replace incompatible uses with compatible mixed-use development; and, WHEREAS, the property owned by Medford Freezer Rlty Inc. is split in between the BA and TOD100 zoning districts, WHEREAS, the area southeast of the current TOD100 boundary was proposed in 2009 to be included in the district but was removed prior to passing of the zoning; and THEREFORE, be it adopted by the Board of Aldermen, in session assembled, the Zoning Map of the City of Somerville is hereby amended as shown in the attached maps.
