Neighbors met each other for the first time, kids played and made friends, and everyone asked if we could make it a recurring, annual event. It 100% brought our immediate neighborhood together.   Financial benefits:  Scott Brothers, a local business, has agreed to return as our food vendor. We would like to bring in a face painter and maybe another vendor to provide games for the kids, and will ensure that all vendors are local.
