Ordinance adding Gender Identity and Expression to Human Rights Policy — File 196357

1 CITY OF SOMERVILLE ORDINANCE NO. 2014- IN THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN: Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen, in session assembled, that the Code of Ordinances of the City of Somerville is amended by adding the words "gender identity and expression" to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V, Division 6, Sec. 2-237, as follows: No person in our city shall be unlawfully discriminated against in matters of housing, employment, education, contracts, purchasing or public accommodations, on the basis of: age, ancestry, citizenship, color, disability, economic status, ethnicity, family/marital status, gender, military status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or source of income.
