The meeting was recessed (at 6:56 PM) to allow for the continuation of the Public Utilities and Public
Works Committee meeting, taking place at the same time. The Finance Committee meeting reconvened
at 7:05 PM.
Alderman Lafuente adjourned the meeting at 7:25 PM due to a lack of representation from the
mayor's office.
196265 - Updating this Board with respect to Partners Healthcare at Assembly Row.:
Mr. Glavin reported that Federal Realty and Partners Healthcare are in the midst of final
negotiations and he expects to be able to report out the status of the negotiations within the next
45 days.
Alderman White’s motion that the City Solicitor advise the Board of Aldermen on whether the
Board has the authority to pass an ordinance that requires the approval of the Board of
Aldermen for any agreement for payment in lieu of taxes, was approved.

Mr. Bean stated that the city would be seeking an appropriation for this equipment in the FY-15
budget. Alderman Lafuente requested that the Chief of Police provide information on the
number of radar feedback signs in his department along with the cost of the requested new
equipment. Alderman Heuston requested a list of the traffic monitoring apparatus currently held
by the Traffic and Parking Department.
