Committee Meeting July 9, 2014 Legislative Matters Committee Page 3 of 3 Printed 7/10/2014 RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 197330 - That the Director of SPCD and the City Solicitor apprise this Board of the latest developments with regard to the sale of the Post Office in Union Square and the ongoing dispute as to the mural.: Mr. Glavin spoke about his communications with the USPS and stated that the city's position is that the 12 day requirement for public viewing of the mural is insufficient. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE 196780 - That the City Solicitor advise this Board of the city's ability to control the dissemination of advertisements from "Globe Direct", and inquire why individual requests to stop unsolicited deliveries are not followed.: Mr. Boukili spoke about the way the City of Chicago handles this type of issue. Alderman White's motion that the Mayor's Office inform the Board of Aldermen of its dealings with Catalog Choice, was approved. RESULT: WORK COMPLETED
