October 18, 2022 To: City Councilor Jake Wilson Chair of Finance Committee City of Somerville 93 Highland Avenue Somerville, MA 02143 From: Greg Jenkins, Executive Director, Somerville Arts Council Re: Mass Cultural Council Grant for Consideration on 10/20/22 Finance Committee Meeting I am writing to you regarding a request to accept and expend a $16,900 grant from Mass Cultural Council to the Arts Council for unrestricted operating support. The MCC Organizational support grant provides unrestricted funding to the Arts Council. This funding can be used for programming, contractual services, etc. It does not require a match, but rather the funding formula is based on the Department’s overall budget.
