Mr. Grossfield distributed a draft ordinance relating to the appointment constables. Mr. Boukili reported that both Cambridge and Boston have reciprocal residency requirements for constables. There was a discussion about having a 3-year term for constables with a yearly review by the Somerville Police. Chairman Heuston expressed a desire to have more committee members in attendance, as well as the Chief of Police, to discuss this matter at the next meeting. RESULT: KEPT IN COMMITTEE
